FOOD SERVICES

- Location: Kezar Stadium, Kezar Pavilion,
Golden Gate Park Tennis Court, and Harding Park
Volunteers will assist in the preparation and/or
distribution of food and beverages to athletes, crews, and volunteers. Also,
volunteers will check on various sites to determine needs to be
replenished. Youths over 14 years of age can volunteer for this event. Mandatory
orientation required to attend two weeks before the event (see above)
GREETERS/DELEGATION CHAPERONES
(LIAISONS)

- Locations: San Francisco State University, or
University of San Francisco, and traveling with the delegations during
sporting events
Volunteers will be assigned to a delegation and
will assist the delegates with their daily activities, schedule, and
transportation throughout the day. These individuals need to have general
knowledge of the city and need to be available from arrival of the
delegations on July 7 to July 14. It is a plus if chaperones and greeters
are able to speak the native language of their delegation. Mandatory
orientation required to attend two weeks before the event (see above). Also, interpreters are requested to greet
their city delegation upon arrival (Date and Time TBD)
HOSPITALITY

Certain VIP events will take place during the
games. Volunteer staff will be needed to help with serving food and drinks, and
fulfill other hospitality responsibilities. (MUST BE 21 or older for this

IT SUPPORT
- Thursday, July 10 – Monday, July 14:

Volunteers must have general IT knowledge and move
to various sites experiencing IT issues as they arise. Youths over 14 years of age
can volunteer for this event. Mandatory orientation required to attend
two weeks before the event (see above)
INFORMATION (24 hours a day)

- Starting July 10 the Information
Tables will be run 24 hours & non-stop until Tuesday at 8pm.

Volunteers will be posted at the housing areas at
San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco to dispense
information about the 42nd International Children’s Games, the City and the Bay
Area. Volunteers in this area will need great people skills and knowledge of
the city and the event. Volunteers in this area should be comfortable with
computers, the Internet and communication.

sports venue for set-up and breakdown of venues, movement of particular items
from one venue to another or any other Operations tasks. Youths

be able to lift 10 lbs. Mandatory

MEDIA CENTER
