Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia is the first city in Australia to submit a letter of intent in the 40-year history of the International Children’s Games. Located 90 minutes north of Sydney, Lake MacQuarie is one of the fastest growing cities in New South Wales. With a population of almost 200,000, Lake Macquarie is the largest city in the Hunter region and features one of the largest saltwater lakes in Australia.
